About this wine
Farmed Organically (CCOF Certified), planted in 1992 and dry-farmed since 1994 from cuttings taken from Antinori's Atlas Peak plantings. The soils are Pinole gravelly loam, a mix of sandstone, shale and quartz deposited from alluvial flows.
The winemaking is a combination of Pump-Overs & Punchdowns, for 16 days and aged in a combination of standard barrique and 500L puncheon for 11 months. Venturi Vineyard is a beautiful example of old-school, effective California winegrape farming.
