About this wine

Vin de Soif - "Wine of Thirst"

Release date: April 2026, 130 Cases

Retail Price: $26

Blend Details: 100% Albariño, Skin Fermented

Vineyard: Gomes Vineyard, California

Tasting Notes: More textured and aromatic than a classic Albariño, this wine shows notes of dried orange peel, apricot, and stone fruit, along with hints of tea, herbs, and a light savory edge.

On the palate, it’s fuller and lightly grippy from skin contact, balanced by fresh acidity. Flavors of citrus rind, orchard fruit, and subtle spice.

The finish is dry, slightly tannic, and lingering, with a mix of citrus, herbal, and mineral notes.

Pairing: It works beautifully with richer seafood like seared scallops or paella, where the wine’s structure stands up to deeper flavors. Try things out, as orange wines are generally new territory and who likes rules? Italian cuisine is a favorite in our house, so add pasta + pizza to the list!

Winemaking: Skin Fermented for 15 days, with a combination of pump overs and punch downs twice per day. Pressed and aged in neutral 228L barrique. Aged on fine lees for 7 months, having received one racking in January. Full malolactic fermentation, sulfured immediately before bottling. Filtered for Clarity, Bottled Early for Freshness.
